• Image of Lapis Eclipse Fine Silver Pendant

This large piece of fine lapis lazuli was just shining at me, so I placed it in a streaming silver piece, like rays of the sun.

Lapis lazuli is a deep blue stone found mostly in Afghanistan. Lapis was traded as far back as predynastic Egypt and in Sumeria. It has been mined for over 6,000 years. It is known as the stone of truth and integrity, and is thought to increase wisdom, vision and clarity. Pyrite inclusions are common.

Silver Art Clay is made from silver reclaimed from photography and X-ray film, combined with an organic binder. It can be formed just like clay: rolled, stamped, coiled, joined, and is then dried. Then it is fired by kiln or flame and the organics burn out, leaving either fine or sterling silver depending upon the formula. It is versatile and fun to work!

18" sterling silver drawn cable chain is included.
