• Image of Anasazi Pottery Sherd with Coral and Turquoise Sterling Silver Pendant

A few years back, I took a trip to the Four Corners area of the US to learn about the Anasazi, our ancient inhabitants. This pendant, adorned with coral and Kingman turquoise beads reminds me of the vibrant art they created.

Anasazi pottery sherds can be found throughout the Four Corners area (Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona). The name “Anasazi” stands for “ancient ones”, the ancestors of the modern-day Hopi, Zuni and possibly Navajo tribes. The origin of the pottery can be estimated by looking at the color of the clay, construction techniques, and mineral and vegetable glazes. The sherds I have made into jewelry date back 600-1000 years and were collected on private land.

Wrapped in solid sterling silver wire.

18" sterling silver Singapore style neck chain included.

2 1/8" X 1 1/2" approx.
